Rick and I have spent the last couple of days endlessly going through the quite stunning photos of our trip. Thank you so much for sending them. We have discussed each adventure; the people, the whiskey, the wonderful Yukon hospitality and of course, the delicious food we enjoyed so much. Of course there has been much discussion about just how we managed to pack so very much into one extraordinary day!
As you know Rick and I have had the opportunity, through business dealings, to take many junket style trips similar to WWWWW. Intense activity, a small group of liked minded individuals, a “destination” setting. The similarity ends there though. Our Whitehorse trip turned out to be singular in it’s beautiful setting, it’s keen sense of play and finally in it’s sense of true authenticity. At no time did any of it feel “Disneyesque” or contrived. We both felt we met real people in a real and compelling place. A special shout out to my dog sled team and the folks at the MacBride Museum. Finally, kudos to ALL the hard working chefs – the mini/mega meals were awesome, including the omelet Carson just whipped up for us the morning we left.
Ps. Did I forget to mention that ALL my parties are going to be in airplane hangars fromLara Irwin
